Candle diffusers or 'AromaLamps' are designed to disperse pure essential oils into the air through heated water vapor.   With just a few simple, commonsense steps you can begin to enjoy the aromatic benefits of this delightful tool.

I.  Identify a safe location for the lamp--away from drafts and foot traffic.  Consider placing a heat-proof 'caster' beneath the lamp, such as a small plate or saucer, to contain potential spills as well as to protect your furniture from the heat generated by the candle.

II. Fill the bowl of the lamp with warm water.  Then add just a few drops (6-8) of your chosen blend.  Be sure it is pure, 100% essential oils—not diluted with almond, apricot, jojoba or any other vegetable oil.

III. Light the tea candle beneath the bowl.

IV. Don’t allow the lamp to run dry, or the bowl might be damaged, or the remaining essential oil can burn and stick to the bowl.

V. Do not add cold water to hot glass, ceramic or stone bowls, as it could shatter.  (NOTE: We cannot replace broken bowls.)

VI.  Keep both the burning candle and the pure essential oils out of reach of children and pets.  Never burn the candle unattended.

VII. Periodically clean the bowl with rubbing alcohol followed by soap and water.   With care, your aromalamp should give you many years of service.
